Weymuller Cup

For the first time a sanctioned Women’s International Squash Professional Association ball was competed in Grand Central Terminal. Last year a four-women exhibition gave the gallery a taste of genuine nine-point, 19-inch tin squash. This year it was a 16-women-strong feast. Shoehorned between the men’s matches was the $20,000 Arader & O’Rourke Heights Casino Women’s Open for the Carol Weymuller Cup.

All the top female pros were there but for Leilani Joyce, out with a ruptured Achilles tendon. Who took home the Cup? See Squash Magazine, March 2002 for James Zug’s complete report.
