We are thrilled to report that the US Women's Pan American Game team won the gold medal in team competition! In the final versus Canada, the American women won 2-1. Kicking off the final was USA's Meredeth Quick versus Carolyn Russell. Quick came back from 2-0 down to take control of the match and won it 3-2. Then, only days after claiming the first-ever squash gold medal for the US in the Pan American Games women's singles, Latasha Khan defeated longtime rival Melanie Jans for the second time in a week, cinching a 3-2 scoreline in Khan's favor. This win put second-seeds USA in the lead and gave them the match, though the third rubber between Louisa Hall and Marnie Baizley was played. Hall lost (5), (4). Congratulations to the women! Also in team competition, the US Men defeated Ecuador and Colombia, coming in 5th place over all. Canada went on to take the gold, defeating Brazil 3-0 in the final.
