In the past, the American Junior Girls have finished a respectable fourth in the World Team Championships. But they've never really been close to reaching the final. Until now. Though the Americans ultimately lost to Egypt, who went on to win the championship, Amanda Sobhy serviced notice that the Americans are knocking on the door by upsetting the new World Junior Champion in the second match of the semifinal versus Egypt which leveled the score at one win each.
