Though England was favored to repeat as Women's World Team Champions, the Egyptians were looking to avenge their runner-up finish from two years ago. In the final, Omneya Abdel Kawy put Egypt up front, but England's Laura Lengtorn-Massar evened the tie in a five-game thriller over Raneem El Weleily.
